Ah, life. It’s a series of surprises, challenges, obstacles, and opportunities for growth.
Last year was an incredible year as I launched The Crispy Sage, taught a dozen cooking classes with Living Social that received rave reviews, and watched my client base explode.
Wouldn’t you know that’s exactly when my life took an unexpected turn?
Late last year, my seven-year relationship ended. Suddenly I was facing the loss of my normal – splitting households, navigating hurt feelings, grieving, and exploring what this new life would look like for me. It’s been an exciting and emotional time.
As I struggled to take care of myself, I let The Crispy Sage fall into darkness. Sadly, I abandoned a few people who were interested in working with me, but I just couldn’t find it in me to share this deeply personal story. It was too fresh, too painful, and I withdrew.
If you were one of those people, I apologize. I shouldn’t have left you (or my readers) hanging without a word from me.
The good news is I’m finally feeling settled into my new and adventure-filled single life. I have more time to cook and to focus on the things that bring me joy.
You’ll see some changes around here.
First, I decided that my heart wasn’t in making meal plans for people. At least, not now. What I loved more than anything were those Living Social cooking classes and really connecting with people, hearing your stories, and sharing mine.
In that vein, I have launched a new kick start program for people who need help getting over that hump in the quest to become plant-based (or at least plant-strong). Check out the details here.
Second, the blog will be a combination of new recipes from me and reviews of recipes I find on Pinterest. I’ve had SO many of my Pinterest followers ask if I’ve tried the recipes I pin, so I’m going to be testing the yummiest looking recipes, providing tips and tricks to make them even better, and reporting an honest review of each.
Not following me on Pinterest? Well, join the 5,000+ followers who are by going here: Vegan Gastronomy board. I also have boards dedicated to vegan salads, desserts, and juices/smoothies. There are over 2,000 recipes on my boards, so prepare to lose yourself in food porn.
Oh! If you have a recipe you’ve been curious to try, feel free to email it to me and I’ll add it to my To Do list!
So, that’s it.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I know I’ve been gone for a few months. I never expected such a radical transformation to take place. But, you and I can get back on track as we eat our way through the blogosphere and our kitchens.
Happy eating, gorgeous!
