Why am I so passionate about helping you?
Well, after fifteen years at a fast-paced Fortune 500, I realized I was being ruled by Stress, and his ugly cousin, Disease. I ended each day looking for a release. That release was “food”.
Not food. “Food”…the stuff that comes in boxes with fancy guarantees and bold declarations about nutrition and government certifications.
Unfortunately, I’ve spent most of my life making less-than-stellar choices about what I put in my body. So, it wasn’t a surprise that, at 33, I reached a point where I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.
Anxiety attacks, aching knees, constant headaches, eye twitches from stress, horribly overweight, and haunted by that annoying sense of guilt over my relationship with food, I started wondering: How could I heal? Really, truly heal?
Enter stage left: a Plant-Strong Diet.
And what do you know? Despite three years of doctor’s visits, medication, therapy, and ER trips, shifting to a plant-based diet eliminated my anxiety. Inflammation started disappearing. Stress started melting away. And that stupid, irritating sense of guilt was gone.
Now, armed with green juice in one hand and an armada of recipes and kitchen tricks in the other, I’m ready to help you make a similar transition in your life.
How? Lucky for you, I adore pouring over vegan recipes, planning weeks’ worth of interesting meals, and diving into new and creative ways to cook delicious food. This process actually brings me joy.
And it hit me. If it’s taking me hours and hours to select, organize, shop for, and prepare my meals, it must be taking all of the other super busy people out there the same amount of time to do the same thing.
